Heat Recovery Units
Heat recovery units are the ideal solution for controlled ventilation in passive and low-energy houses. Heat recovery units fully replace natural ventilation through windows and save energy costs in apartments and houses. Heat recovery units can be divided into local (room) and central - (provides heat recovery throughout). Heat recovery is the recovery of heat from waste air and then transferring this heat to fresh cool air brought in from outside.
Heat recovery units can also be used in air-conditioned buildings. In the summer months, the opposite process occurs. The incoming fresh warm air is cooled by the exhaust air, which is cooled by the air conditioner.
How does heat recovery work in practice?
The heat recovery unit draws in outside air, which it feeds into the heat exchanger. On the other side, it draws in waste air from the room. In the heat recovery exchanger, the fresh air is heated to the temperature of the exhaust air and is discharged into the room. Built-in filters rid the incoming fresh air of most dust and other impurities. This ensures ventilation - fresh air is supplied to the room with minimal energy loss. The fresh incoming air is never mixed with the exhaust air. They only transfer temperature to each other via a special heat exchanger. Heat recovery can be used in all types of buildings when ventilation is hygienically necessary. For apartments, family houses and industrial buildings. In central air recuperation units, the principle of air heating is similar, except that the waste air from all rooms is discharged through a single duct in the technical room where the unit is installed.
